Hillside and driveway erosion control
It would be great if all contractors on Angie’s List were are reliable, knowledgeable and responsive as Horizon Outdoor Design was. They were not the cheapest estimate for the work that I needed to be done, but I used them because Chris seemed to be the most knowledgeable of all the contractors whom I interviewed. Ultimately, they turned out to be worth every penny. The work was scheduled months in advance. When the time came for the work to be done they actually called and asked if they could do it a day early. It worked out beautifully. The project was a day and half project. They arrived on the first day at 8AM exactly as scheduled. The second day they arrived a bit before 8AM and immediately were at work. The 2 men who did my project worked hard. There was no idle time wasted. They did need to wait for several hours later in the day for a load of stone to arrive. As they waited, they still managed to find things to do to make the project even better.
The work was finished on schedule and was done exactly as I hoped for and as had been discussed with Chris. Since then, their work has been thoroughly tested as we have experienced many days of torrential rain. The regrading and new stone field carried water away with absolutely no damage. Mission accomplished! I am a firm believer in the idea that you do get what you pay for. This job was the perfect example. Chris’s expertise and the worker’s attention to details have left me pleased and confident that my problem is solved. I will call Horizon again in the future as new outdoor projects spring up.
